Dr. Muench is a clinical psychologist and the Director of Digital Health Interventions at Northwell Health in the Department of Psychiatry. He has over 12 years experience in developing, researching, and implementing technology- based substance abuse treatment and wellness platforms in private, non-profit, and academic sectors. His research focuses on understanding appetitive behaviors using active and passive mobile sensing and building just-in-time adaptive interventions for substance use by using mobile messaging and interactive media. He co-founded Mobile Health Interventions, a company that develops mobile messaging and coaching solutions for behavioral health and is currently the Chairperson of Support Den, a non-profit that uses technology to help parents meet their goals and needs.
