If you don’t know the difference between an e-hookah and a vape pen, you’re not alone. But it might concern you that most teenagers do. If you’re discussing e-cigarettes and other vaping devices with your child, it’s definitely helpful to have a good understanding of the available products as a foundation. Here’s what you need to know. 

Like iPads, these products are categorized by generations. E-cigarettes which resemble traditional cigarettes, most accurately refer to the first generation of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems, or ENDS, which were introduced in the U.S. in 2007. Second- and third-generation ENDS products look less like combustible cigarettes.
